Introduction of AD-100 High-efficiency Copper Extractant

AD-100 is a high-efficiency copper extractant widely used in the extraction and separation of copper ions from aqueous solutions. It is a chemical compound specifically designed to selectively extract copper from various sources, including ores, leach solutions, and industrial waste streams. AD-100 offers excellent copper selectivity and high extraction efficiency, facilitating the economical recovery and purification of copper. It finds application in industries such as mining, metallurgy, recycling, and environmental remediation, contributing to efficient copper extraction processes and sustainable resource utilization. Proper handling and adherence to safety guidelines are essential when using AD-100 or any chemical extractant.

02

Electrowinning: AD-100 can also be used in electrowinning processes, where copper is electrochemically deposited from a copper-rich electrolyte onto cathodes.  After solvent extraction, the loaded organic phase is stripped of copper using an electrolyte, and the resulting copper-rich electrolyte is treated in an electrowinning cell.  AD-100 may be present in the electrolyte to help facilitate the transfer of copper ions to the cathode, improving the efficiency of the electrowinning process.

03

Copper Recovery from Tailings: AD-100 can be employed to recover copper from tailings, which are the waste materials generated from the mining and mineral processing operations.   Tailings typically contain residual amounts of copper that can be economically recovered using hydrometallurgical techniques.   AD-100 can be utilized in the leaching and solvent extraction steps to selectively extract copper from the tailings and produce a copper-rich solution for further processing.

How Does AD-100 Work?

AD-100 functions by selectively binding with copper ions present in the aqueous solution. The AD-100 molecule forms a complex with copper ions, allowing for the separation of copper from the rest of the solution.
